During several visit to
Dolpo by our founder member, they found that it is most beautiful and remote
place of Nepal. Though there are many good government schools within the
district, still there are some such places where the modern education stands
far from the people due to several reasons. The people depend on a very low
productive agriculture and trades. Very unfortunately, children have to go to
pastures instead of school. They are major labor forces within their families.
Elders are busy to earn the family expenses and to transfer the traditional
education with is pastorals and only hold up their life.

Particularly in upper Dolpa,
due to the remoteness and difficult living conditions, the teachers would not
prefer go there unless they get extra allowances. Schools are also in poor conditions
in terms of infrastructure and other basic facilities. However, there is a hope
for improving the education if it can be provided with some support,
development of infrastructures and other teaching materials.
For the upliftment of the
educational system in particular, the school of Vijer village, Shree Mukporong
Himal Primary School (before Shree Shey Gompa Primary School, established in
the year 2031BS), the founder member Mr. & Mrs. Pritzker and Mr. & Mrs.
Roncoroni family, shows very enthusiastic to provide whatever private support
they can. They decided to support it with infrastructure development, teaching
materials and teachers for the improvement of the school.They agreed to provide all the funding for the construction of the school and hostel building, teaching material and uniform for the children, private teacher and extra allowances for the government teachers and the basic medical supplies for the betterment of the people and the children.
Establishment of this school by those farsighted sponsors have played a crucial role in the life of the youngsters....As you can see vividly that there was a government school which was established in 2031 B.S. mentioned above. If these kind hearted sponsors didn't approach this place then i'm sure everyone will lack the opportunity of education there....Here i can share you my experience, long time back in 1990s I was also send to that school,government, for three years...you will be surprised when i tell you that i just learned ABC...which was just taught for 2weeks a year as far as i can remember. Therefore i would like to acknowledge the sponsors....who have brought a light to the local people regarding the education.
